Hello! My name is Allyriane Josette Huq, but my friends call me AJ (she/they). I'm a Chicago-based Bengali-American actor and singer. I'm an Indiana University Alum with a BFA in musical theatre. I grew up in a small college town in Appalachia, where I was surrounded by a rich musical culture rooted in folk and rock. I spent a lot of my formative years going to concerts and music festivals within my community and developed a love for music and the stage from a very young age. Growing up a biracial queer person, I never saw myself represented on stage, but I did not let this discourage me. I've made it my goal as an artist to be the representation that little AJ needed and to continually push for diverse stories in this industry.
